Leon Ferren Schumacher: "My abstract art arises from an inner impulse—spontaneous, emotional, and without a rigid concept. I am guided neither by rules nor role models. Rather, my personal experience flows into it, often influenced by my previous work in street art and the urban life that surrounds me.
I work with intense, often high-contrast colors, which in my works meet sometimes thoughtful, sometimes absurd content. This combination of light and shadow, of brightness and depth, reflects everyday life for me – in all its facets, with all its highs and lows.
WHY ONE RUM
My work is meant to touch, challenge, and perhaps even unsettle. I describe it as loud, free, and sometimes controversial. I don't follow a formula, but rather intuition and the moment.
For me, every work is an expression of freedom, emotion, and an unbridled creative urge—honest, raw, and full of life.
That's why every ONE RUM artist edition is adorned with my unmistakable trademark – the skeleton. It's an expression of my artistic stance: raw, honest, and free. A symbol of the irrepressible creative urge that drives each of my works.
